Với bài này, người viết thừa nhận việc phấn đấu trở thành người giỏi nhất có nhiều hậu quả tuy nhiên đồng tình với nhận định là trẻ em sẽ nhận được nhiều lợi ích cho tương lai.

Đoạn 1: There are several justifications why the idea of aiming to be the best has an adverse bearing on children. 

• It would sometimes demand a child to fully concentrate on one particular field for better results. 

  • lack other fundamental skills such as life skills or interpersonal skills => hinder them from becoming well-rounded individuals. 

• On the way to reach the top position, children are likely to be put under undue pressure from peers and family. 

  • provoke a deterioration in mental well-being => prone to mental disorders such as depression.

Đoạn 2: Despite the aforementioned drawbacks, I would contend that youngsters will reap a host of benefits from attempting to be the top performers.

• In an academic setting, the fact that the youth obtaining outstanding performance triggers a sense of recognition among others => boost their self-esteem. 

• The provision of adequate pressure and competition since childhood could act as a stimulus for the development of a child. 

  • Example: gifted students are likely to unlock their full potential if placed in a highly competitive environment at their school. 

• With a view to scoring high goals, the young will have to do things in earnest 

  • enable them to possess essential attributes for future career advancement, such as determination and resilience.
